Sheffield Entertainment is a film and video production company based in Wilmington, North Carolina. Over the past twenty years, Sheffield, formerly AKD Productions, has enjoyed tremendous success in all fields of the film and video industry. They have worked with many Fortune 500 companies, as well as a multitude of local businesses, in the production of both television commercials and corporate films. Over 100 television shows have been produced and aired by the company, including the Virginia Shoppers Network, Bud Dowdy's Southern Cooking Show, Valley Country, Country Music Round-Up, and Search For The Cradle Of Gold.

Having enjoyed great success in both the corporate and television worlds Sheffield moved its operations from Virginia to Wilmington, North Carolina to pursue projects in the documentary and feature fil m realms. Wilmington is often referred to as Hollywood of the East and is currently the third largest location for film production ( trailing only Los Angeles and New York). Since moving to Wilmington, Sheffield has conceived and produced three documentaries-In Search of The Perfect Cigar, Navajo Nation and Expedition to Choquiquirao. The first was shot on location in Cuba and the last in Peru, all are receiving world wide distribution and acclaim.
